Welcome to Just Storytelling!

Portrait of me

My name is Kerima Mohideen and I am a storyteller, a literacy, English and humanities teacher and a member of the advisory committee of London Mining Network.  I have worked with schools and NGOs to create materials to raise awareness and stimulate discussion about colonialism, mining, women`s rights, racism and many other issues.

On these pages you will find some of my work and also some stories.

I tell stories for social and environmental justice, to bear witness to and honour the courage of those who resist oppression and work to bring about change. I also tell stories to celebrate the rich tapestry of human experience, of cultural diversity, hybridity and exchange; to keep memories alive, expose hidden histories and show us that the mainstream narratives are not the only version of the truth; stories to raise our spirits and remind us that another world is possible.

And I tell stories because storytelling is fun. I mainly focus on stories from South Asia but enjoy telling stories from other parts of the world too.

I am based in London. and am available for bookings. Please use the contact page to get in touch with me.
